Working With the Bees

Our hives are located all across Glasgow and Lanarkshire, tucked away in peaceful, natural surroundings to keep the bees safe and thriving.

We wear protective suits when needed, though not always. It depends on the activity, the weather, and the temperament of the bees.

Calm, careful handling reduces stress on the hive and helps us build trust with the colony.

Respectful, Low-Intervention Beekeeping

Our goal is simple: support healthy colonies without interfering with nature’s rhythm. That’s why we follow a treatment-free approach with no chemical treatments or excessive hive checks and disruption.

Instead, we’ve bred a resilient mix of Danish Buckfast, local Scottish, and Newcastle bees known for their strength, hygiene, and disease resistance. If the bees need the honey more than we do, they keep it. Always.

Home Sweet Hive

Our hives come in different sizes and styles, each carefully chosen based on the season, location, and needs of the bees.

We place them where wild forage is naturally abundant, allowing the bees to collect nectar from a wide range of blossoms and wildflowers across the region. No artificial feeding, no forced movement, and no shortcuts.
